Every night, the park glows with faces lit by campfires, and the sounds of voices and guitars singing familiar songs. Singing around the fire is one of our most loved events. The get-togethers are usually quite informal and friendly.
Inside the Ol' Gold Miner Diner, our on site licensed restaurant, besides delicious food prepared daily from fresh local ingredients by our Chef Kim Steevens and the Chapin family, we also serve tasty music. Tom Chapin and his family have put on what has become one of Nova Scotia's favourite programs: The 27th Chapin Family Concert By The Sea Weekend Big Sunday Concert By The Sea August 18, 2013 1:00 PM $25.00 - adults / $15.00 kids (ages 5 - 16, under 5 free) Last year's fair was truly a memorable weekend of fun, featuring a variety of musical entertainment and special events. On Sunday August 18, 2013, please join us for the annual Chapin Family Concert (starting at 1:00 PM) featuring: Tom Chapin Steve Chapin Jen Chapin and Stephan Crump Big John Wallace Laurier Mazier Abigail Chapin Lily Chapin Jessica Craven Phil Forbes David Chapin Jonathan Chapin Desiree Gordon Jennah Barry Liam Frier Each year, the Chapin Family Concert presents a blend of children's music, folk songs, and favourites of their brother, Harry Chapin. Hope to see you there!!!! Live Music (throughout the Summer season) Usually 8 pm to 10:30 pm Tuesday - Sunday. In August we add an additional show starting at 6 pm (dinner seating at 5:30 pm) on Friday and Saturday evenings. Reservations recommended. Please call office to make reservations. All reservations must be confirmed. Please Note: The restaurant is open 7 days a week until Labour day. The rest of September we are open only weekends. Breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is from 8 am - Noon. Dinner is from 5:30 pm - 9:15 pm. We suggest you call and confirm restaurant hours in September. The nightly music usually starts on July 1st and the magic happens everynight but Monday, unless we are doing something extra special on a Monday...So Tuesday night to Sunday night, until Labour Day, and then a weekend schedule for the food and music until the end of September.
