When the Chapin family purchased the park in 1987, the first thing
they did was buy a Zodiac, one of those inflatable boats (made famous
by Jacques Cousteau) with a marine engine on it. They would use it to
go cod fishing and to show family and friends the spectacular beauty of
the Sea Caves at Ovens Natural Park. It was (and is) the best vantage point
from which to look at the majesty of the rock structures.
Since then, our Zodiac Boat Tours have become one of the favourite attractions at the park. See the famous Ovens Sea Caves up close from the safety of an inflatable boat. Our experienced guides will explain the fascinating geological events that created the caves. Tours from mid June until September. |
